The Clemson wideout could go on Day 2 of the NFL Draft after running a 4.41 40-yard dash.
A quiet winner at the NFL Scouting Combine, Clemson’s Antonio Williams will be an appealing prospect after an impressive showing in Indianapolis. The elusive slot receiver measured in at 5’11 ½” and 187 pounds, with 9 ¼” hands and 30 ¾” arms. Williams ran a notable 4.41 40-yard dash, showing he has the long speed to go with this shiftiness. He also posted a 1.55 10-yard split and had a 39.5” vertical jump and a 10’4” broad jump.
Williams played four seasons with the Tigers, finishing his collegiate career with 207 catches for 2,320 yards and 21 receiving touchdowns. He also brings some versatility as a ball-carrier, rushing 25 times for 187 yards and two scores.
For fantasy, Williams will have a hard time making a major impact during his rookie season unless he lands with a team that installs him as a starter right away. Early on, he’ll be a late-round WR4/WR5 stash, one you keep on your bench hoping for a late-season breakout.
