Tyler Shough Wins Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year
1 month ago

The Saints signal-caller won the fan vote despite playing only 11 games.

Saints QB Tyler Shough was selected as the Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year after winning the fan vote. New Orleans’ second-round pick out of Louisville didn’t need a full season to earn the honor. He played in 11 games for the Saints, winning five games, including four in a row from Weeks 14-17. Shough becomes the fourth player in franchise history to win Rookie of the Year, joining George Rogers (1981), Reuben Mayes (1986) and Alvin Kamara (2017). He’s also up for the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year, which will be awarded tonight at the 15th annual NFL Honors.

From a fantasy perspective, Shough was a pleasant surprise for managers, especially in Superflex formats. He delivered five QB1 weekly finishes, while throwing for 2,384 yards with 10 TDs and six interceptions Shough also chipped in 186 yards and three TDs on the ground. He set multiple New Orleans rookie passing records and his 67.6 completion percentage was third-highest all-time amongst qualifying rookies. Currently being ranked as a low-end QB2, Shough carries some upside heading into 2026 with a full offseason to prepare as the starter with HC Kellen Moore.

It's Shough Time in New Orleans

The New Orleans Saints are heading into the 2026 season with Tyler Shough as their starting quarterback.

The New Orleans Saints seem to believe they have their franchise quarterback in their 2025 2nd round pick Tyler Shough. Shough finally got the starting nod in week 10 and finished with 5-4 record. He played well and finished with 2,284 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, 6 interceptions and 67.6% completion rate in those starts. Shough finished as QB26 despite only starting 9 games.

Tyler Shough looked really good to end the 2025 season, winning 4 of the last 5 games. With Kellen Moore as his head coach and play caller, Shough future looks promising. Shough has WR1 in Chris Olave and a TE2 in Jauwan Johnson. The team could add another running back to help out as Alvin Kamara is at the end of his career. Despite his age of 26, Shough is a dynasty asset to target.

Tyler Shough Ends Season With Winning Record
2 months ago

The New Orleans Saints lost their week 18 matchup to the Atlanta Falcons but Tyler Shough finished 5-4 on the season.

Rookie quarterback Tyler Shough couldn’t lead the New Orleans Saints to a win against the Atlanta Falcons but he did end the season with a winning record. Shough threw for 259 yards, one touchdown and one interception plus a rushing score in the loss.

The second round pick of the 2025 NFL Draft took over the Saints starting job midway through the 2025 season and made his case to be the starter next year. Shough finished the season with 2,384 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Despite Spencer Rattler opening the season as the starting quarterback Shough eventually got his opportunity and made the most of it. Kellen Moore is a proven offensive mind and will provide stability heading into the 2026 season.

Tyler Shough Looks Like QB1 For Saints

Rookie quarterback Tyler Shough continues to make his case to be the New Orleans Saints quarterback of the future.

2025 second round pick Tyler Shough led the New Orleans Saints to a comeback victory over the Tennessee Titans with a big second half. Shough finished the day with 333 yards and two passing touchdowns without throwing an interception for the third straight week.

Shough is up to 2,125 passing yards, nine touchdowns and is completing 67.8% of passes on the season. Shough has led the Saints to victories in five of their last seven games.

Shough didn’t win the starting job at the start of the season but since he’s taken over he’s proven that he can lead this team to wins and has set himself up to be the starting quarterback in New Orleans next season.

Chris Olave Goes wild in Saints Win

The New Orleans Saints have won their fourth straight game, beating Tennessee Titans 34-26.

The New Orleans Saints knocked off the Tennessee Titans 34-26 in Week 17, with Chris Olave leading the way as the top fantasy producer.  Heading into Sunday Night Football, Olave sits as the overall wide receiver 1 of the week in Fantasy Championship matchups.  He was Tyler Shough’s top target, as the Saints quarterback threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns.

Besides Olave, Juwan Johnson also had a big day, finishing with four receptions for 95 yards.  While the Saints’ passing game carried the offense, Audric Estime led the ground attack with 94 yards and a touchdown.

On the other side, the Titans continue to show improvement behind first overall pick Cam Ward.  Ward finished with over 250 passing yards and two touchdowns, but costly mistake proved too much to overcome in loss.

Rattler Outplaying Shough at Saints Training Camp
7 months ago

New Orleans Saints second year quarterback Spencer Rattler has looked a lot better than 2025 second round pick Tyler Shough.

Spencer Rattler has looked like the best quarterback at New Orleans Saints training camp so far, outplaying 2025 40th overall pick Tyler Shough. Rattler has said he feels like the best quarterback on the field.

Chris Olave, Alvin Kamara and Rashid Shaheed will likely be dealing with quarterback turmoil throughout the season. The Saints are likely to start multiple quarterbacks this season and it looks like Rattler currently has the edge to begin the season atop the depth chart.

New Orleans will want to get a look at Shough at some point this season, he’s been a late round selection in fantasy drafts and this report won’t help his stock. Olave, Kamara and Shaheed have all been selections inside the top 110 of fantasy drafts even with the quarterback uncertainty accounted for.
